More on discipline.
My computer is now upstairs in the spare bedroom rather than in the basement.  I'm not sure what the difference really is, but it seems more accessible now.  Or, it seems like a handy place to start the day, look at what I want to accomplish, etc.  So, I printed out a spreadsheet of "chores" that I want to get done every week -- basic cleaning, etc., plus a few "things on my mind" like washing windows when the weather gets warmer.  And on that, I put check spaces for Monday - Friday.  This would seem to be a nice visual way to look at what I want to do, but not be rigid about when I have to do it.  I am curious about how this will work -- I want to reliably accomplish all the "life junk" like cleaning, without letting it sink me, or without letting that be all there is.

And I'm not really a list person -- for reasons explained, as in lists leave out so much that I value.  So, I'm scared about these lists...scared that you become this list.  But, some of my thoughts are just assumptions, because I've never lived with a list, so how do I really know.  And, some of my very favorite people use lists well and don't seem to get mired in them.  I do feel that it's worth it to give lists a good try.

We are making the second bedroom upstairs into more of a study -- putting the basement couch/chairs in there with the computer, and moving the bed and chest of drawers to the basement for Emily.  My quilting will go into the little room where the computer had been.
