Mom liked this bridge...


Today, Chip (Robert's father), Mom and I took a little day trip to Old Rag Mountain.  It's about a 2 hour drive, except we took a few detours on our way there...coming back was faster.  It was really a pretty warm day -- 80s and a little humid -- but very beautiful and the trees were in early to mid-turning.  We didn't make it anywhere near the top, but had a nice stroll along the trail that borders the stream.  We stopped at a farm and picked up apples, and in Sperryville Chip saw the antique tables sign -- we're sending it to Jay Leno!

This evening I go get trained for working the polls on election day.
