Today I went to the Amnesty USA office on Pennsylvania Ave. to learn more about my new position.  The meeting went well, and I got to see Cecili -- the deputy director -- again after several years.  She's one of those people who just stands out in my mind as someone I learned from directly.  She's very young, and I worked with her on the Gallardo campaign.  She's creative and super focused and positive, so I'm glad to work with her again.  Then, just as I was getting ready to sign out, and heading for the door, the receptionist said that someone came in and wanted me to stay and say hi before I left...and who was it...but Chip and Will (Robert's dad and brother).  Good grief...don't expect those kind of run-ins in Washington.  They were there getting material for Will's AI chapter at his school, so we were able to have lunch at Eastern Market and ride the Metro part-way back together.
