I made some of these cheese straws today -- and they pretty much looked like this.  I think they'll work for the table centerpieces.  Kate came over after work and tasted, etc.  They're actually quite yummy on top of being right for the look we wanted:-)  I toyed with the idea of making them myself...but then emailed the caterer to see if they could.  I mean, they're not hard...but I figure we need 8 dozen...and that would take a lot of pans, etc.
