Mom and I went to a mini-rally with Gov. Bill Richardson -- it was at the Obama headquarters which is in the building next to hers.  He got there about 20 minutes early -- unheard of -- so we were crammed at the back and didn't get to hear or see much.  I hung around and waited until he came out to get a photo.  Per usual in these types of situations, two people were standing on chairs in front of us...so they could see better.  There was some grumbling, and I suggested to the guy nearest me that no one could see around him.  He did get down, but one of the Obama staffers felt she was entitled to stand on a chair as well, and I decided that someone else in the crowd could go after her (no one did...).  Then a bunch of volunteers felt that they had some very imperative mission regarding Obama yard signs, and they had to move signs around during the Governor's speech.  Now, this speech was only scheduled for a few minutes, really, and they were somehow getting the signs for something that was happening after his speech -- but it was with some sense of urgency and importance that they disrupted his speech and the audience.  As I was waiting to see the Governor afterwards, I could tell that the signs could easily have waited until he was finished.  Yep -- give a few volunteers a little power, mix in a politician, and no sense will survive.  Anyway, I'm glad that I heard a little of him, and Jim Moran came by and said a few words as well --
