We have been having a nice time with Emily at home.  Parents are torn with the desire to see their babies fly away and never letting them leave.  Well, Emily has certainly done her share of flying, and we're glad that we have a home in an area where she can live and look for jobs (when she came back to Fredericksburg a few years ago, it was harder with the commute, etc.).  Today she and I were shopping at an organic market in Alexandria called Mom's, and Kate called to see if she could do lunch.  We were only 10 minutes away, so the two of them went to a Japanese restaurant for lunch.  It's so nice that we're all close.

Particularly after Em's being so far away, I'm loving the time we can have together.  I know that it's special -- likely won't happen again.  Today we ran over to the Air Force Memorial to look around.  It's close, and after our passport errands we just ran over and enjoyed the memorial and the pretty view.
