The Halloween Party was fun -- mainly people with kids came, but I think everyone had a good time.  Rob had two nice beers on tap in the backyard, and Bill, Rose, Brian, and Amy came as well. Shoot -- I didn't get any photos of that -- but Doug and Rob strung lights back there and it looked nice.   The pumpkin display worked out well, thanks to the weird shelving we found in the basement and hauled up.  We also found lots of Halloween decorations that had been the attic of the other house and boxed up for moving -- Doug was good about locating most of that stuff.  Even though we're crammed to the limits, we did end up having lots of fun things to decorate with.  So, it's a dilemma -- if I had thrown all those decorations out when we moved, would I just have gone to Target and got more?  It's so hard to know what to keep...but some of that will be solved by the great birthday present from Kate, Rob, and Doug -- an appointment with a professional organizer -- whew -- that will be fun!

So, part of yesterday was also a little birthday party -- for Mom and me.  Kate brought a very yummy orange cake with nice spices, and we had that before the block party started.  I opened my present from Emily -- this beautiful (photo doesn't do justice) PINK gold watch -- very fancy.  And, I don't have a watch at the moment and really wanted one, so this was perfect.
