Yea -- Emily is here with her friend, Satomi!  They arrived Monday evening, later than scheduled.  Luckily the airport is only 10 minutes from us now, so it was a whole lot better than had we come from the 'burg.  Satomi's luggage was lost, but it arrived the next morning.  On Tuesday they slept and arranged, and we visited grandma at the Jefferson...then napped!  Tuesday evening we had everyone over for dinner -- excellent Salad Nicoise with fresh grilled tuna.  We exchanged gifts -- the big hit was the Chanel necklace Satomi gave Kate!  Need to get a pic of that up here.  Wednesday was still around here getting over jet lag -- picked up grandma and went to Target, library, grocery store -- not big, but fun for Satomi.  Emily has a list of things she needs to pick up, so she started on that.
