Kate and I went to visit the florist yesterday -- it was fun to start to visualize what everything will look like.  The florist is in an area of Alexandria that was really fun -- on Mt. Vernon St.  It was a street lined by art galleries, restaurants, and little shops -- no chains, just independent places that all looked so interesting -- it will be fun to go back there and just browse around.  The Birchmere is also in the area.

Then Kate went to pick up the invitations, and they were not what we'd anticipated -- poor Kate, she's going to have to go argue about them.  I don't think we'd recommend the Paper Source to others -- they have very beautiful stuff, but some of their employees are real witches.

Mom and I are going to go line the kitchen shelves at the new house today.  The movers come tomorrow, and it would be nice to have things ready when the unpacking begins.  The previous owners left things in beautiful shape, so we don't need to clean anything -- which leaves me time to clean the Illinois St. house -- I knew I'd get that in somehow!
